Iván Lara

The problem
For an event and wedding photographer, the portfolio is the pitch. The work has to be easy to browse and grouped the way clients actually think, by the kind of event they are planning, and the images need to show well without the page feeling slow or cluttered.
The approach
I worked on Iván Lara as a Next.js portfolio built around the photography. Galleries are laid out as masonry grids with react-plock, so images of different shapes sit together cleanly, and they are organized by event type with a detail page for each event. The photos are served through a lightweight gallery API, which keeps the galleries quick to load and simple to update. Inquiries run through a contact path wired to transactional email with Resend.
The outcome
The result is a clean, fast portfolio that presents the photographer’s work the way prospective clients look for it, organized by event type with per-event galleries, and a direct line for them to get in touch.
